Here are the main things worth knowing about Baró and the subscription, in plain language.

The subscription
- The subscription unlocks everything in the app: happy hour, deals, the map, karaoke and live music, and what's on.
- The first 14 days are free if you haven't tried it before. After that the subscription is 1,599 ISK per month (incl. VAT). The price you see in the app before you buy is the one that applies.
- You buy the subscription in the app and pay through Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Their terms also apply to the payment.
- The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel.
Baró account
- Baró is only for people aged 20 and over. When you create an account we ask for your date of birth and for you to confirm that you're 20 or older. We don't store your date of birth, only that your age was confirmed.
- You need a Baró account (email and password) to use the app and buy a subscription. The subscription is linked to the account, so you log in with it on any phone.
- Keep your password safe and don't share your account with others.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app, under My account → Delete account. That doesn't cancel the subscription; you do that with Apple or Google.
- What we store about you is on the privacy page.
Cancelling and refunds
- You can cancel any time in your Apple or Google account settings. Do it at least 24 hours before the period ends, otherwise it renews. Here's how to cancel.
- If you cancel during the free days, you won't be charged.
- When you cancel, you can keep using Baró until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Apple and Google handle refunds. If something's wrong, drop us a line and we'll help you.
The info in the app
- Happy hours, prices and deals come from the bars themselves. We do our best to keep everything right, but bars can change their deals without notice. If you're not sure, ask the bartender.
- Baró doesn't sell alcohol. In Iceland alcohol isn't sold to anyone under 20. Take care of yourself.
If the app is down
We try to keep Baró running smoothly, but sometimes things go wrong. If the app doesn't work for a long time and you're paying, get in touch and we'll work it out.
Changes
If we change the terms or the price, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect. If the price goes up, Apple or Google will ask you first whether you want to continue.
On iPhone, Apple's standard Terms of Use (EULA) also apply.
